First comb through the coat gently to remove mats or tangles and separate the hairs you want to cut from those you do not. Using the thinning shears, cut the coat slowly, working your way between longer and shorter hairs while letting the shears to do the work to avoid pulling or ripping the coat. Budget Thinning Scissors

Given the brand, I was quite disappointed with the usability of these thinning scissors when trimming a Shoodle. One of the teeth bent enough to stop them from closing, something I’ve never experienced with my old thinners. I would suggest considering a larger and better quality thinning solution. They may be fine as a budget thinners, but I think you could find better options. I have since replaced them.
