Join multi-award winning Master Creative Groomer Taryn Binstead CPA for a full day dedicated to creative dog grooming.

This hands-on seminar showcases Dyex Pet Safe Dog Dyes and covers everything involved in creative grooming, from basic salon designs through to competition work. You’ll gain practical skills, confidence and inspiration you can take straight back to your clients.

Seminar Plan

Morning Session: 9:00 am to 10:30 am

• Welcome and introductions
• What is Creative Grooming?
• Introducing creative grooming services into your salon, including pricing strategies
• Understanding permanent and temporary dyes
• Introduction and demonstration of DYEX Pet Safe Dog Dyes
• Basic colouring techniques, solid-colour ear and tail dyeing
• Rinsing techniques to help prevent colour bleeding

Morning Tea Break, Approximately 10:30 am (15 minutes)

Mid-Morning Session: 10:45 am to 12:30 pm

• Temporary creative grooming techniques and demonstrations
• Sculpting and carving, creating flowers and hearts
• Airbrushing, blow pens and paint pens for creative designs
• Glitter, bling, stencils and enhancing creative styles
• Temporary accessories and creative styling for show dogs

Lunch Break, Approximately 12:30 pm (30 minutes)

Afternoon Session: 1:00 pm to Approximately 5:00 pm

• Advanced colouring techniques, multi-colour and rainbow ear and tail dyeing
• Pricing creative grooming services
• Introduction to competitive creative grooming
• Understanding and handling negative reactions to creative grooming
• Q&A with Taryn
• Hands-On Practice, Experiment with creative grooming products on Taryn's dogs and model dog fur under her guidance
